About the DepartmentDepartment of Microbiology has been introduced in this academic session 2017-2018 as a General Course for the start-up. It has been initiated with the Institute’s motivation to improve and instigate itself in the modern cutting edge areas of Science & Technology and “Microbiology” is one of the leading subjects with its wide scope and application. India has seen a revolutionary development in the field of applied sciences since the year 1970. Due to its ever growing societal relevance Microbiology rests at the frontier of Life Science with opportunity for the students trained in this subject to get openings in almost any area of technology from Medicinal Research, Pharmaceuticals, Clinical research, Agriculture, Food technology, Environmental Sciences, Genomics so on to mention a few. The department of Microbiology already has the necessary physical and ICT infrastructural amenities & also is in the process of developing the existing Laboratory space, Instrumentation and with hard effort and determination by the teaching and the non-teaching staffs; the department is looking forward to a bright future and achieve academic excellence.
