About the DepartmentWelcome to the Department of Geography at Muralidhar Girls’ College. Our Department was established in the year 1945, with Commercial Geography at Intermediate Level. Courses on Geography General was commenced from the year 1990 and we had started our Geography Honours Course from the year 2002. At present we are providing Under-Graduate Honours and General Courses in Geography. Geography is one of the most exciting subjects to study. Our mission is to enroot Geographic insight via integrated learning of all the branches of Geography. The department is devoted to nurturing students, serving their intellectual passions and providing the learning environment necessary for holistic development. Students work alongside dedicated and devoted teachers, who place great value on field work, mapping and location analysis, modern technologies, community engagement and awareness on natural environment.
