Muralidhar Girls’ College is an educational institution disseminating knowledge for Honours and General Degree Courses (B.A & B.Sc) in 20 regular subjects along with MAJOR degree course in the subject of TTMV and ENVS as compulsory subject as per the Syllabus structured and approved by the affiliating University of Calcutta (CU).

The Programmes offered in the institution aims to primarily help the students find a focussed career path, geared towards the end of creating individualistic and independent women out of them. It aims to equip the students with enough knowledge and skills so as to enhance their employability in the workforce. It aims to offer up to the students a glimpse of what further higher education could offer them in terms of knowledge gain and employability, so that they can pursue along that course, should they so desire.

Programme Outcome of B.Sc. Course:

1. It aims to foster a spirit of enquiry and experimentation in the students.
2. It aims to promote an analytical scientific thinking process in the students, which they can carry forward further into the society.
3. It aims to help students understand the industry, its needs and their own applicability within it.

The students are expected to develop a scientific aptitude and sense of reasoning. At the end of the course they can pursue higher studies, apply for various certificate and diploma courses. They can appear for competitive examinations for Banking services and other Government jobs.

Programme Outcome of B.A. Course:

1. It aims to train the students to be an important and productive part of a knowledge society.
2. It aims to foster in students a spirit of clear and rational thinking, based on their studies of society, history and culture.
3. It aims to equip the students with necessary communication skills, both while speaking and writing, and provide them with the ability for academic expression of thoughts and ideas.

At the end of the course a student with Bachelor of Arts degree can opt for Post Graduation. Those who want to pursue career in teaching at schools can apply for B.Ed course. They can also appear for competitive examinations at various levels. They are expected to imbibe social, cultural and environmental awareness, soft skills and be a responsible citizen.
